Privacy Policy
Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to VaultStreet, and we are committed to safeguarding any information that you share with us. In order to provide our document aggregation and transfer service (Services), we must obtain certain personal information from you regarding your accounts and financial relationships. Our pledge is to use standard industry security procedures to safeguard this information.
The Personal Information VaultStreet collects:
- VaultStreet does not gather any personal information if you are merely visiting our Web site. You can visit our site, read about our products and services without having to volunteer any information about yourself.
- VaultStreet only requests your personal and financial information at the
time that you register to use our document aggregation and transfer services,
in which case you will be asked to provide the following:
- User Name and a Password that you create.
- First and last names, addresses and e-mail account information.
- Your user profile information will help us to authenticate and verify your
identity so that you may indeed create an account with us to use our services.
We collect only such information as you provide to us or specifically authorize us to obtain on your behalf.
- VaultStreet's technology allows you to aggregate financial documents from your financial services provider and allows you to permit access to these documents from bank, brokerages, and other accounts that you maintain with various financial institutions to a trusted 3rd party. In order to provide such services, you must agree to provide VaultStreet with access your accounts at financial institutions on your behalf. To enable this access, you will need to provide us with all such information that is required by your financial institution, such as bank account numbers, passwords, and personal identification numbers. We will use this information only on your behalf, to access your third party accounts and to carry out your instructions. Please know that when you provide us with your financial institution passwords, this information is completely encrypted in a manner that limits accessibility to VaultStreet, its employees and any third parties.
- VaultStreet uses your personal information to provide you with our services, to notify you of any product updates, and to notify you of changes to our user policies.
- VaultStreet does not sell or exchange any personally identifiable financial or other information, or account login information to any (i.e. non-affiliate of VaultStreet) third party. We only share information with third parties at your request, as necessary to provide the Services as requested by you, to comply with legal requirements or as otherwise permitted by law (see below). With a party such as a bank, brokerage or mutual fund services provider we may share your personally identifiable information, including verifying your identity with and confirming that you own the accounts at the specific banks and financial institutions from which you choose to "aggregate" your documents. We may also, in the necessary course of delivering our services, and for internal risk management purposes on document management and transfer services share personally identifiable information with an intended partner to authenticate the information that you have supplied.
- VaultStreet also reserves the right to disclose or report personally identifiable information as permitted by law (for example, if VaultStreet believes that it is required to do so in order to (i) comply with applicable law or with legal process, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of VaultStreet; (iii) or enforce the terms of this Policy or VaultStreet's Terms of Use Agreement, etc).
- VaultStreet-authorized employees and customer service representatives will access your personal and financial information only when necessary to comply with your requests, maintain your account information, or otherwise provide the Services to meet your needs. To keep your information secure, we require that all of our employees sign confidentiality agreements and conduct employee background checks. Access to sensitive customer document details, is highly restricted and is limited to certain employees.
- We treat information concerning our former customers the same way we treat information about our current customers.
- VaultStreet will keep your personal and account information accurate and up to date. You can access, review and update your basic personal information at any time by clicking on "myProfile" section. You will not be able to make changes to your third party accounts at financial institutions through VaultStreet. For any problems or to update your myProfile section you can notify us at privacy@VaultStreet.com.
- VaultStreet will retain and safeguard all files stored by the VaultStreet user. If files remain on the system with no user activity from the account holder, VaultStreet will host the files for up to 180 days (6 months) following the end of the subscription period unless the account holder deletes the files from the system. At the end of 180 day period or following the deletion of all files from the account of the user, VaultStreet will issue a confirmation of deletion of files from the VaultStreet service. No prior notice will be given if that is true.
- Tell-A-Friend referral - If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. Docuthentic stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and track the success of our referral program with a credit for the referral to you. Your friend may contact us at www.vaultstreet.com or privacy@VaultStreet.com to request that we remove this information from our database.
- VaultStreet has multiple levels of security, designed especially by us. In that we take certain precautions to protect your information, when you submit sensitive information, that information is encrypted and protected with the encryption software. Your information is protected both online and offline using technology and physical measures. For more detailed information on the specifics of the VaultStreet Security Architecture, send an email to security@vaultstreet.com.
- The use of "Cookies" is an industry standard that refers to pieces of information that a Web site transfers to your computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. By storing information about your preferences on a particular site, many major Web sites use cookies to provide useful features for their customers. In our case we use “Cookies” to maintain session information for logged in members and to prevent the need for re-entry of login information. The "Cookies" used by VaultStreet are present only when you are in session; they are deleted when you log off. VaultStreet does not use "persistent" cookies (that is, cookies that remain after you log off) to store any personal information on a browser. If you attempt to disable the session cookies you will no longer be able to access the VaultStreet service.
- VaultStreet secures your personal and financial information on a secure portion of our VaultStreet servers. Your VaultStreet User Name is always encrypted. Your VaultStreet password is one-way encrypted to prevent us from deciphering your VaultStreet password. Your financial institution user name and passwords are encrypted using your VaultStreet password.
- Your VaultStreet password is your private key into your VaultStreet account. You must never share it with anyone and you should change it periodically. The ramifications of sharing your VaultStreet password would be universal access to all collected and organized financial documents stored on the service. You can change your password at any time by clicking on "myProfile."
- After you have finished accessing your VaultStreet account, please remember to log off. This prevents someone else from accessing your account.
- To preserve a customer’s privacy, you will be logged off automatically when you have been inactive for a period of time. For secure access to their private information, customers will need to log on again. For security reasons a customer will be denied access to his or her account after 3 unsuccessful login attempts.
- The VaultStreet Web site contains links to other Web sites. Such links are provided solely as a convenience to you. VaultStreet does not endorse any products or a service offered on those sites and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. VaultStreet is not responsible for the personal and financial information that you provide such parties.
- Docuthentic is a licensee of blog services from WordPress.org at http://www.wordpress.org as a third party service provider to provide public blogging services. Be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages.
